Although Oklahoma Policy Institute (OK Policy) began operations on January 28, 2008, our emergence was the culmination of nearly a year's worth of efforts to create a new non-profit that will  provide timely and credible analysis of state policy issues, with the goal of helping educate the public and guiding public policy decisions. OK Policy was originally conceived in order to fill the need for a results-oriented, analytical organization in Oklahoma which would focus on the needs of low-to-middle income Oklahomans, with a particular focus on state budget and tax policy.

Over the past several years, David Blatt has served as a leading source of timely and credible policy research, education, and advocacy on state budget and policy issues in Oklahoma. With David as our Director of Policy, we look to expand the scope and strengthen the effect of his work.
